The story of the clock is one of love for the things left behind by the predecessor at EH9 | Annfield. The space was occupied by a cobbler who was in business for over 30 years. When EH9 took on the unit at 94 Annfield Road, I found a clock mounted on the wall, left in situ where it had ticked away for many years. Keen to tell the story of who was here before, I repurposed the inner workings of the clock, using waste plastic from the cafe to create a beautiful contemporary face and a new lease of life for it
